Deeper Details and Actionable Specifics Coming In Blog Article Soon
While you absorb the insights and info revealed in the private doctor visit video, please keep in mind, I’m working on a full blog article that goes into much deeper details about the specific things I’ve been doing over the last 2 years to make the things happen that you’ll hear from the doctor as he reviews my key health indicators and their changes over the last 2 years.
I’ll create a “Health Hero Checklist” that you’ll be able to print and refer to, and include the link in the full blog post article, most likely next week, so check back in for that here.
For example, I’ll share a few of the simple but critical tools I use to “monitor” my internal stats, week to week, month to month – to make sure I’m staying “in the zone” of optimal health, wellness and longevity.
I’ll share one of those tools right here, so you can get started as well: This is the body-fat monitor I use to track my body-composition (MUCH more important than just tracking your weight on a scale.)
It is the same one my Team uses in the SCULPTAFIT Studios and it’s the same one I use when doing 1-on-1 fitness consulting/coaching with private clients.
Here’s a tight summary of the Vital Health Markers I was screened for. These are the ‘paper’ numbers Dr. Osborn compares year to year.
Except for the PSA, These Are All Important for Men and Women
Blood Lipid Profile:
– Cholesterol
– Cholesterol Ratios
– Triglycerides
Uric Acid
GFR – Estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate
CMP – Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
PSA – Prostate Specific Antigen
TSH – Thyroid-stimulating Hormone
CBC – Complete Blood Count
We also talk about a few other critical factors as well – which I’ll be sharing in the full article/blog post coming soon.
Dr Osborn Reviews His 5 Pillars of Health
{Summary to be posted soon}
I passed on getting the STD panel this year. And in the video you’ll hear my question regarding an extended period of sexual inactivity and 2 STD panels coming back clean as a whistle during that period, and next steps as I look forward…
Below are the 2 pages of the complete blood panel for this year’s check-up. Notice over on the left margin, my notes about the Total Chol/HDL ratio being 2.02 – that is something to be happy about, and a great marker to calculate on your own, as many panels don’t report that automatically.
Not a big deal, since it’s a very simple calculation of Total Cholesterol divided by the HDL’s (the high density lipoproteins, which are the “good” ones)
Alrighty… There’s a lot of helpful info and advice that comes through in the candid video footage. So please take some notes, and then share this page with anyone you know who can use the advice and insights we share.
You never know whose life you will positively impact just by a simple share of something helpful…
Just use the ‘easy’ buttons below to share today’s post…
And if you have ANY questions, comments or input, please do post in the comment box down below, you know I love hearing from you.

Thank you for your openness. I am looking forward to my “health retirement”. Keep up the good work and I will keep working also. This was exactly what I needed to hear.

A lot of great stuff here I’m taking note of. Both for myself and what to share with my patients. Key points about ‘health retirement’ – I love that. I recently fell off the wagon a little bit in regards to my exercise plan. It is very hard to ‘want to’ when you have to get up at 4 in the morning to get ready for work. Also we had a retirement party yesterday and the food was fantastic! I have to share this though – I felt OK after eating but a while later I came back to the break room realizing that I had missed out on the cake — oh boy! It sure was a good one and I ate too much of it — within the hour, it seemed, I was so sleepy/tired I could barely stand up. I felt crappy. My body had a sugar spike and then, with the insulin released, a big sugar ‘crash’. I am going to try to reinvest in my health. Thank you so much for sharing this video. I told you I was looking forward to seeing your lab values. Congratulations! They looked great. You are an inspiration and I would love to have a physician like that. My doctor doesn’t even seem to care that much – especially about prevention – I just go to get a thyroid prescription renewed ever year or so. Otherwise – as a nurse, you know – I try to stay away from doctors!!
Thanks again, Joey, for all you do and share – keep up the good work and I’ll try harder –

Thanks for watching, Connie! Yes, Dr O is awesome. VERY unlike the majority of Doctors out there… Would be awesome if they all lived the habits of health themselves, so they could advise from a position of ‘knowing’… and be able to advise better than just saying “you really need to exercise and eat right…”
Ok so for you… No more “try” or “trying” you have to switch your self talk to “do and doing”. Period. Create your plan, let it be flexible, but stick to it as your general way of life ‘theme’.
Keep me posted! And please share these posts and the freebies with anyone you wish.
More to come!

Great work Joey, you really are an inspiration. My real challenge is exercise .I do it for few months and fall off down the line. I think my problem is patience, I get discouraged by not seeing results where I want them. I’m very good with my diet, I took this healthand wellness decision in 2013 and still going strong on what I put in. You’d swear I’m a dietitian when it comes to food , my family, friend and colleagues always come to me for advice and this is all thanks to you. They admire my body and how I look for my age [turning 43 this year]they say but I’m not happy at all and the funny thing is that I know exactly what to do and trust me I have all the time. Your exercises is exactly what I need, I know they work. My lazyness is failing me?
Joey Atlas says
Thembi, thank you so much for posting the great words of appreciation!!
A question for you. When you are “lazy” and you choose to not exercise, when you know you should be – What do you do instead? Sleep? Watch TV? Play games? etc??
Let me know what goes on in your mind and I might be able to help 🙂
Big love
Joey

Thank you very much for your response Joey, it’s very much appreciated. Instead of exercising you’ll find me reading or sleeping or playing with my daughter or just doing nothing. I don’t watch TV much , I have cut down , I only watch it from Friday evening to Sunday. My kindest regards, T

“Reading, sleeping, playing with daughter (LOVE this one, never stop), just doing nothing…”
So I see opportunities in your above description of your day and how you spend your time. My advice:
Start entering your ‘training sessions’ into your daily planner/schedule at least a day in advance. And simply stick to it, if you want to be true to your goals and desires. Simple. You have access to my free fitness video training sessions right?
