How to Fix Shoulder Pain and Avoid Shoulder Surgery (maybe) with LIIT Reconditioning
A few months before I made this post – my neighbor, Dan, was in a motorcycle accident that should have left hime in worse condition than you see in this video.
HE WAS VERY LUCKY to be walking, and minimally injured. It could have been a LOT worse.
Nonetheless, his right shoulder was in bad shape and in a LOT of pain.
About an hour before we recorded the “reconditioning” segment of this video, Dan walked across the street when I saw he was wearing a sling (I didn’t know he was in an accident until he came over to explain). And he told me what happened…
He then added that he was scheduled to book his surgery date the next day. I tell the rest of the story in the video. Click play:

“Re-conditioning” Exercises Also Great for Corporate Wellness/Workplace Fitness Programs
Some of these shoulder exercises are part of the programs we design & implement for Corporate Wellness/Workplace Fitness programs.
As you might imagine they are equally beneficial & effective for desk/computer employees and for warehouse/manual labor staff – and everyone in between; drivers, manag.
Not only do they prevent injuries and absenteeism – but they reduce stress and boost productivity because of better functionality and improved strength/stamina.
Go figure, eh?
About Shoulder Injuries and Rotator Cuff Surgery – VERY IMPORTANT
My above ‘project’ with Dan is not meant to replace, or take anything away from what surgery can do for a damaged joint that NEEDS repair. (NOT ALL shoulder injuries and rotator cuff tears need surgery).
This is only one incident in a world of MANY shoulder injuries and rotator cuff problems.
ALWAYS see a doctor before making any decisions on what you might do in order to treat any type of injury, whether it be a shoulder joint, or any other part of the body.
I’m sharing this video to illustrate that there is ‘gray area’, not just in the medical & fitness fields, BUT IN LIFE. And we should always “gather information and proceed with caution” on any moves we make.
When Dan walked across the street to talk to me about his accident and the prognosis for his shoulder – and to ask me my opinion, questions, etc… he was “gathering information” – and as we talked it through, he decided to “proceed with caution” and first try reconditioning his shoulder with my guidance.
If you watch the end of the video you’ll see that Dan was able to avoid surgery, and his doctor was VERY impressed with the development of Dan’s rotator cuff and overall shoulder muscles – including the functionality and range of motion.
And with the average cost for Shoulder Surgery being around $14,000.00 – there was a good amount of medical expense avoided. AND Dan didn’t have to take on the risk of surgery – of which, there is always a risk.
